Life cover is a safety net for your family if you die.
Life cover will help your partner or your family keep up the lifestyle they're used to if you die or become terminally ill.

Critical illness cover pays out a lump sum or a regular monthly income if you're diagnosed with a critical illnesses from a list specified by the provider.
Life or Critical Illness Cover
This is life cover and critical illness cover together.
Life or critical illness cover gives you or your family a lump sum or regular monthly income if you die, are diagnosed with a terminal illness, are diagnosed with a critical illness from the provider’s list, or are totally and permanently disabled - whichever happens first.
Payment Cover for Sickness
Having payment cover for sickness means that the provider will make the payments on your protection policy if you can’t work and you meet their definition of 'incapacitated', e.g. you're ill or injured and can't do your job or a series of work-related tasks already agreed
Income Cover for Sickness
Income cover for sickness could give you the safety net you need until you're able to get back to work.
Income cover for sickness will give you a monthly income if you can’t work and you meet the provider’s definition of 'incapacitated', i.e. you're ill or injured and can't do your job or a series of work-related tasks already agreed. You can even get cover if you work part time, or don’t go out to work but look after the home all day instead.
